and I came up to this conclussion:
Children learn through experiencing - Experiential learning. Children learn best through doing and experiencing. They learn best when they are allowed to get involved, investigate, do and discover things for themselves.
Children learn through embracing failure – Instructional learning. Children should be encouraged to take risks, have a go and get things wrong. This helps them understand how something works, reflect on the experience and do better next time. We are no longer living in an educational context where the culture of ‘one correct answer’ is appropriate and fit for the purpose.
Children learn through ‘owning’ their own learning – Authentic learning. If we are going to prepare our pupils for the future, we need to radically rethink our approach to education. We need to start thinking about teaching the whole child. This implies recognising the potential and range of intelligence in our pupils and allowing them to use their own way of learning to make sense of the world and make learning meaningful for them.
WBT helps students to be involve all the time this is experiential learning. There is not a lesson that doesn´t have them talking, sharing and discovering for themselves. Children take rick, instructional learning because they will be no bad faces to them and there is always someone to support them when needed. And above all there is authentic learning where the range of multiple intelligence make sense and learning meaningful for them.
This is WBT and this is what I want!
